DO NOT PUT ANY CLEANERS ON IT UNLESS YOU WANT TO SET IT IN.
The first thing that you want to do with any stain is to keep flushing it with water and blotting up with a white rag. Do not rub the area, this pushes the stain further down into the carpet and breaks down the carpet fibers. As long as you are getting red coloring on the rag you are pulling out the stain. If there is still discoloration and you are not getting any more color on the rag, now you can add a cleanser. A good household remedy would be Windex, spray the area with the Windex. Blot into the area, and rinse with plain water and blot dry to prevent further soiling.
The bad part about red drinks is the dye that they use to make it red. Since it is dye it can permanently discolor the fibers. If the spot still remains, you need to purchase a red dye remover at your local janitorial store and follow the directions. This are the only things that will remove the stain and not set the stain.

Dilute Hydrogen Peroxide will take it out but don't use it without adding water or you can bleach your carpet. Shaving foam (the foam and the cheaper the better, it doesn't have as many conditioners) works really well. Spray it on the carpet and let it sit, then brush or vacuum and repeat. Oxiclean works well (just like peroxide) and some commercial spot removers. The most important thing is to get ALL the water up, rent or borrow a carpet cleaner, or the spot will show up again in a few months.

Oxyclean stuff works great. Or you can go to a local Dollar Store or something and get a carpet cleaner in a Red Aeresol Can. Its only like one or two dollars and that will do it! It works really good for the price!

I got red fingernail polish out of a beige carpet by using Greased Lightning. It's available at most supermarkets.

you get a small bucket or bowl put warm water and some dishsoap in it and scrub it really hard with a papertowel and after you scrub it for a bit take a regular wet papertowel and wipe the soap away and check the stain and do that until the stain is gone then take a dry papertowel and dry it up a bit
