Ello...
Can someone tell me if Skelmersdale is a bad place to live, and if anyone can tell me which are the less rougher places to live...!! Not saying that any where is rough but I am thinking of moving there, and the houses that look amazing inside and have 3/4 bedrooms are very cheap and was wondering why!?!? There must be a reason???
Thankyou

However, during renovations the upstairs handset was disconnected and accidentaly removed. can i simply attach a standard uk phone to remaining wires ?? if so what wires do i need to connect to the red black green and yellow cables coming from downstairs? any help greatfully recieved as its driving me nuts !

There have been a few odd and scary occurances lately that leave me to believe that my home is potentially being staked for a burglary. Do you have any other suggestions of things I can do to help secure my home and family other than the obvious locking of doors and guns?

Hello

My wife wants me to make a number of concrete blocks using a square plastic bucket she has; the dimensions are (in inches) about 10 wide x 10 across X 18 deep.

Does anyone know of a good oil-like substance to coat the inside of the mold? I'm thinking of using a can of thick automotive axle grease I have here, but that might be a bit messy. Any ideas?

My other question is how long I should let the concrete dry before popping the block out of the mold; I want it to set up for a short time, pop it out, and then make another one in the same mode.

Any ideas or suggestions for prepping the mold for easier block removal would also be appreciated.

Thanks in advance for any advice.

I have a small one I got at Sears about 12 years ago and it works fine and I defrost it about once a year but wondering if it will go bad and I will lose the food. I've heard of keeping big bags of ice in them for that. Is that the best thing to do if you don't think it will last much longer?

Our neighbors sewer line goes under our house. This dates back to the 50s when the developer of both lots took a shortcut with the sewer line. One of our toilets, and old unremodeled bathroom, is on that particular sewer line. They are constantly plugging the toilet (we never use that bathroom). Now they are telling us that we have to pay for the line to be cleared.

I was wondering if it was their responsibility to have their sewer line updated and run to the street, instead of under our property. Seems to me that their poop is trespassing on our property.

I jusr recently bought one of those foggers that you use in your house to kill fleas/bugs etc. It says to put one in each room ( there are 4 in the pack) and vacate for 2 hours, then open all the windows to venalate.
Can I use only one in a room and shut the door and be able to stay in a different part of the house? The after a few hours, do it to another room, ans so on and so on.
I have cats - and no where to take them - so this would work better but I don't know if it is safe.

(Wall is definately not a supporting wall - just a partition)

I have a partition wall which is joined to a brick chimney flue. Along the join some movement has occured and caused a large crack which protrudes out. I've taken some of the loose plaster off and the lathes seem fine. My question is do I fill the crack and try to make good with it or board and replaster it? I'd prefer to be able to do it cheap but I don't want the crack to reappear.

There is the pronounced noise of water running that seems to be coming from behind the same wall where the faucet and head are located in my shower stall. I've removed the faceplate of the faucet and all seems dry within the limited area I could examine. There are no visible leaks. The noise runs all the time whether or not any of the home's faucets are on.
Thanks for any advice.

It was very well fed and then went next door under their decking. Put poison and traps down but no result. Does this suggest it was just a visitor and not a resident? What is it feeding on? I do not think it is from the Chinese take a way as the year of the rat is next year.

I have a very shady front yard, and want to replace the evergreen bushes in front of my house. The problem is, there are two very large trees in the way, so I need something less than 8 feet high, at most, that will grow well in shade. I'm in Zone 5, and have clay soil. I know that's going to have to be one hardy bush, but can anyone help?
