Measure two adjoining walls. Multiply one length by the other and you have square metres of the floor area. Basic maths I'm afraid.

e.g one wall = 3 metres in length, second wall = 4 metres in length.

Square metres = 12 m2

How To Find Square Meters

2016-11-13 00:33:31 · answer #6 · answered by ? 4 · 0 0

You need to find the square meters of your room. This dates back to 8th grade algebra problem. (I guess I will need to use that stuff someday)

Anyways, what you need to do is measure the width of the room, then measure the length of the room. Heres your equation.

A=Area
L=Length
W=Width

A=LW

Ok, so say your room is 10 meters long, and 6 meters wide.

A=10(6)
A=60 Meters squared.

Then your done!

Good luck!

Yes the others are correct, but if you have alcoves like on either side of the fireplace , measure these separately and add them to the result for the main room
