If you think thats a foul smell, you should try clearing a blockage in a manhole.I once had to clear a blockage in a toilet which was completely blocked for the toilet outlet to the sewer. I had to dismantle the soil pipe bit by bit to clear it. Eventually found the blockage was caused by half a house brick which found its way into the pipe after builders had repaired the chimney on the roof. I had to dig a 4 foot hole to bury the sewage waste. In cases like this, I wear a mask which contains crystals which kills any stench.

if it wasnt for the u bend you would have that smell in your house as the u bend holds water which traps the smell. I dont know how plumbers cope with it. but im thankfull for whoever invented the u bend, & im glad im not a plumber.

In the same way as sewer men do. After a while they become used to it. That is until the next time
