If I am correct in understanding you that when it gets done with the wash cycle it doesn't spin, The problem is the lid switch, which mine was doing.

. You can test this by sticking a pencil down the hole to see if it starts to spin.

You need to pull off the cover by first removing the plastic edges on left and right (they just just come off or have a few screws in them) then, pull panel clamps off with a screw driver and then find the switch that is switched when you close the lid. If it is worn or the not in the right postion, you need to rig it or replace it.

Take the 2 screws out of the control panel on each side.
The control panel flips up to reveal the timer and other stuff.
you will notice 2 clamps on either side of the machine.
these pop out and the case comes off revealing the innards of this beast.
Down below the tub the first thing you will see is the pump . It is easily removed by popping off the 2 clamps that hold it to the motor. next unplug the motor harness and pop the clamps holding the motor to the transmission. The motor will drop down and reveal the problem, which is the plastic drive coupling that fits between the transmission and the motor. NOW the only thing to do is install the new drive coupling and line every thing up snap everything back and it is fixed. Moving the machine is not necessary for this repair but it is easier on an old man if the washer is laying on its back side after the case has been removed. Sears parts will give you diagrams of what I am talking about and I will post a picture of the broken coupling.
