I forgot to plant daffodil bulbs in the Fall and was wondering if I could still plant them this Spring and have them start growing immeditately for a beautiful garden before summer? I don't understand why people plant them in the Fall.

How can I get rid of the stench????

They are leather and I'm not sure about whether it is safe to wash them....

I asked a friend and she said to keep 'em out in the sun... I did, but it didnt go away.

My windows in the front of the house have a half circular window on top. There are 3 of these in the front.Do you think it would be a wise choice to install stained glass in these areas or would it look too much like a cathedral. We have several stained glass lamps and fire place covers, but it is all inside.Would it look nice or unclassy.

Hope someone can help out with this. It should be fairly simple. My house is outfitted with very old baseboard thermostats that are functional, but very ugly. I am trying to replace them with new ones, but I'm running into an unexpected problem with a few of them. The old thermostats have 3 wires which are labeled LINE LOAD and COMMON. Some only have 2 wires (which were easy to replace).

The new thermostats I bought have either 2 or 4 wires, so I'm confused as to how to wire these. Is Common just an old term for ground?

I just bought a new rectangular area rug. It came in a roll, and when I unrolled it at home, the part of the rug that was in the very center of the roll turned out to be all kinked and curled. I tried putting heavy books on it for a few days to flatten it out, but that didn't really work. I don't think I can iron it. Any suggestions?

I have been put in charge of cleaning a home which is in critical conditions after being leased. What I am most concerned about is the tile all around the shower which is literally black.

I could've sworn that I've seen carts that can hold several computer towers ( 3 - 5 ) that also have a power surge conntected to it. The also are low enough to fit under a semi-tall desk. Do you know what those are called and where I could find one?

I am currently living overseas and have been eating what is called a King Orange since I have been here. I love the taste of the orange so much that I want to take some of the seeds back with me to the U.S. So I have been saving the seeds in hopes of planting them when I return but I dont know how long the seeds will be good for once they are outside of the orange, dried out and in a dry place. Can anyone answer the question of how long these seeds will last before I have to put them in the ground?

My daughter got a beautiful hand knitted quilt from my aunt when she was a baby I have been cherishing the quilt and now that she is six and with her own bedroom I would love to hang it on the wall. The quilt is knitted and very delicate since it can get torn easily, it is also white and gets dirty very fast, but it is beautiful. I would hate having it in storage for more time. Any ideas?

Well not with a boy in the house who needs to share the same pink bathroom. How can I make it a kids bathroom and not a girl's bathroom with out chaning the pink sink and toilet? Any ideas...
