How can I get rid of the stench????

They are leather and I'm not sure about whether it is safe to wash them....

I asked a friend and she said to keep 'em out in the sun... I did, but it didnt go away.

All answers will be appreciated
Thanx :)

You can try Baking soda. Just sprinkle some baking soda in the shoe. You may need to cover the bottom of the shoe. Let is set for a while and then dump out the soda. The odor is from your feet sweating while wearing the shoes. The baking soda will absorb some of the odor. Hope this works for you!

all of the suggestions above might help a little but none of them will remove the odor completely. Most likely the leather in the insole rotted and thats what stinks. Go to your local shoe repair and ask them if they can change the leather sole on the inside of the boot. If they cant you just may have to throw them away.

The smell is bacteria from your sweaty feet. put them in a bag and toss em in the deep freezer get them under 40 degrees for a day or so the bacteria will die then use some shoe powder to freshen them up.

i use dr scholl's sport shoe aerosol in all of my fiance's shoes i put it or make him spray it in his shoes every night when he gets home from work. i thank myself. however if you have been wearing them for a while i would suggest new insoles and febreeze to rid the stink. then do what i do it works great. even a sprinkle of baking soda or baby powder will do wonders.

Place a piece of charcoal in your boot and let it sit for a few days. The charcoal will absorb the smell.
