I have been put in charge of cleaning a home which is in critical conditions after being leased. What I am most concerned about is the tile all around the shower which is literally black.

Go to Target/Publix (NOT Wal-Mart) and get the following -

Clorox
Clorox Clean Up
Soft Scrub (with bleach)

Put the Clorox regular bleach on the heavy mold areas. The take the Clorox clean up and spray it on the rest of the shower. Coat it heavily and let it sit for about a half hour or until allll the mold is gone.

Then take the soft scrub squirt it on, get a scrub brush and scour the shower. You may need to spray more clorox as go but scrub it down really good and rinse with hot water. If there is still mold left put some more bleach on a repeat the process.

The only way that you can get rid of it is with a mixture of bleach and water. Spray on the area and let set while you aer cleaning somewhere else. Make sure the windows are open and the vent is running!! Bleach fumes can make you sick. If the mold is more up on the wall and the bleach/water won't stay on it, rub Soft Scrub with bleach on the area and let set. Might need to use a toothbrush to scrub in the tighter areas. Be sure to rinse well when finished

if you are getting paid by the hour then use one of those bleach pens first to treat the really bad parts and then leave it sit. rinse and then use bleach straight up on the tile. i have a steam shark that works great at blasting any nasty stuff away it just takes a while. good luck.

Use a solution of water and bleach in a spray bottle to kill the majority of the guck, then scrub it off with a brush. Use Tilex on what's left.
