We just got new carpeting last year in our family room, and are driveway is flat. It rained really hard three days ago, and the water came into the house and got are carpet soaked! We borrowed a carpet cleaner that sucked up about six buckets of water, but now its dry enough that it isnt sucking anything else up, but the carpet is still wet. It also smells like mildew in our house now. I sprayed Febrez, but the smell keeps coming back. Any ideas on how to get the rest of the water, and the smell out of the carpet?

Well, I have some really nice clothes that I love to wear, but ever since I lost weight, they're about a size too big. Does anyone know how I could shrink them to fit me now?

I have a laminate hardwood floors in a medium brown, an area rug with a navy background--ivory, cream, hunter green, light blue floral pattern. My sofa is maize colored and I have a cherry armoite. I want to paint the room a soft silvery gray (woodwork is white) but can't seem to find the right shade--they are all towards blue or green or charcoal. Has anyone done this recently--what paint shade did you use?

I have a giant hibiscus that I keep indoors (zone 4) and I would like to propegate some cuttings. It came from my brother's funeral 15 years ago and I don't want to kill it, but it needs a serious pruning.
If you have any ideas I would really appreciate it because this plant has a lot of sentimental value to me.

I have a light blue-green and silver bedspread. I have teal (more toward the blue end of teal and dark) colored curtains. Furthermore, I have silver and teal nightstand lamps. All of these things were choosen to go together and all match pretty well. I have painted the wall behind the bed a metallic silver and had planned for this to be an accent wall. Now I'm having trouble selecting a color to paint the other 3 walls in the room which are currently white. Any suggestions?

I've recently purchased a new construction house. Lately, I've been noticing mold appearing on a few spots in the wood that is exposed in the basement. I do have a dehumidifier running constantly. What are other things can I do to remove and prevent further growth of the mold?

So, I have these banded fleece pants from Hollister Co., and I bought size Large, thinking they'd fit okay because this other thing I bought was large, but those are different pants, and those fit akwardly too. Usually I wear a size Medium, or Small for pants there. So how can I shrink them? They're just really baggy and make me look fat.

I have a commercial water system which works by an air compressor which forces air down a center pipe located inside a larger pipe, through which water flows, as the air pressure pushes the water up the outer pipe, into a holding tank. What I need is a release valve which will let the air pressure escape (and not water) from the holding tank and shut off when the tank if full of water. Also, I need a switch that will shut off the compressor when the tank is full of water and maintaine about 40-60 pounds of pressure in the system. Thanks Rick Magee

I have been using Spray and Wash. The initial stain is gone, but in its place is usually what looks like a grease spot. How do you deal with this? Pre-treat again and hope for the best? Give up and throw the thing out? lol

I have a new Kenmore HE4t washer and have it sitting on a pedestal on a wooden floor. When the spin cycle starts, LOOK OUT! It shakes, rattles, and could probably roll it if wasn't so heavy. Is there anything you can suggest to better stabilize my washer so it doesn't vibrate and shake so much during its spin cycle?

The heater in the flat I've just started renting has decoloured the middle of the wall and window sill. I might be able to get it sorted in the future, but for now, has anyone got any creative decorating ideas to conceal it?

Thanks!
