These are the styles of decor I like - Southwest inspired such as Native American art, pottery, drums, cactus, zig zag lines, bold earthy colors etc; Canadian/Alaskan wildlife like moose, wolves, evergreen trees, pinecones, etc; and Asian inspired decor like bamboo plants, water fountains, windchimes, teapots, feng-shui, etc.

In my new home, should I try to incorporate parts from each or stick with one type the whole way through? I don't know how I could pick only one style and if I did, I would miss the others. What are your thoughts on this?

I found a bunch of old bookplates from WWII with Airplanes. Problem is they are all stuck together by the glue on the back of each one. How do I save them without destroying them?

Often I hear accidents or deaths due to electric shocks at home.

Please tell me which appliance can give how much shock(in volts) and what type of effect these shocks can have in human body.
List all the places where a person can get an electric shock at home or anywhere around the house.
Please give a detailed answer.
I am very much scared of electric shocks.

Here's the scoop:

1 yr old Fridgidare dishwasher
Leaves big white stains all over my dishes and doesn't really wash very well so some dishes are still dirty
I regularly put a bottle of Jet Dry in it (did just a few days ago)
We have softened water
We have well water (with very low pressure)
We even practically wash the dishes before placing in dishwasher
We've also been told that our water pH is a little high, but not dangerous for drinking.
I've tried putting a lot of dishwasher detergent then putting only a little and then of course the regular amount.
I've tried not putting detergent in the prewash compartment and only putting in the main wash compartment and vice versa.

What's the deal!!!???
It's driving us crazy, should we buy a new dishwasher? Or is it that we have very low water pressure, I mean I hear the water just trickling in in the beginning, is that the problem??? Please help?

I'm wndering if there is software out there that will allow you take a photo of your house, put it in the software and allow you to see what it would look like with various type of siding and/or roofing on it. I already know there's software that you can use to change the color of the inside and outside of your house, but I'm more concerned with siding/roofing. Help is appreciated!

I just got a rather expensize home theater recliner. Unfortunately, it's all leather and electric. So, when it reclines the leather rubs together making that noise. It will go away if I use some thick leather moisturizer, but come back in a few days after the leather dries. What could I use to "lube" the leather without damaging it?

i would rather do it my self than to have pest control come out, because the people who rent from us seem to keep bringing them in, and it is so costly to keep paying a exterm. to come out.

(please bear w/me - I don't know proper terms)......I found a leak under my kitchen sink. It is coming from the hot water line, below the shut-off valve. It is coming from the line that (I believe) would go to a dishwasher. That valve is shut off, but that is where the leak is coming from.

I'm tight on cash right now and am wanting to know if this is as simple as:

1.) Shutting off the main water to the house
2.) unscrewing the portion that is leaking
3.) going to Home Depot (or the like) and getting replacement 'piece' (whatever this portion is called)
4.) reattaching new 'piece'.
5.) turning main water back on.

Please let me know if there is no harm in my outline above. If it matters - I am female and although not by any means a 'fix-it-myself'er, common sense doesn't completely elude me.

Thanks for your time.

I have just had a phone call from one of my old customers, she has been to London to help her daughter move all last week. She has to come back home with daughter and kids because of the filthy, so called tradesmen doing the work.

The contractor she got sent Polish guys in to do the work, didn't employ English, since then they couldn't bath, or cook and spent two days cleaning floors and running to the tip and so on. The bath wouldn't fit so they were going to cut some off the end. (I never tried that one). I couldn't stop laughing at the antics she said they got up too.

After 55 years as a self employed general builder and a lot of happy customers some who have employed me for over 40 years.
I cannot believe what a state this country is coming too, can you?

My sister lives in Southern Ohio and she has these plain white spiders, white legs and eyes. No hair. And they are the size of your palm and the babies are like the size of a pencil eraser. Ive tried to look but cant find them. They live under her house but every once in a while she sees some babies in her house. Have any idea what they are? Thanks in advance
