(please bear w/me - I don't know proper terms)......I found a leak under my kitchen sink. It is coming from the hot water line, below the shut-off valve. It is coming from the line that (I believe) would go to a dishwasher. That valve is shut off, but that is where the leak is coming from.
I'm tight on cash right now and am wanting to know if this is as simple as:
1.) Shutting off the main water to the house
2.) unscrewing the portion that is leaking
3.) going to Home Depot (or the like) and getting replacement 'piece' (whatever this portion is called)
4.) reattaching new 'piece'.
5.) turning main water back on.
Please let me know if there is no harm in my outline above. If it matters - I am female and although not by any means a 'fix-it-myself'er, common sense doesn't completely elude me.
Thanks for your time.
