My brick chimney cracked during an earthquake years ago. I removed the loose bricks to the roof level and covered the hole with plywood since we never use the fireplace. Now i want to fix it so it looks like a chimney. Other than rebuilding the bricks, whats a good way to fix it up? it sticks out of the middle of the roof, not the side of the house.

My husband and I want to buy our kids a swing set this year for their birthdays but are not sure as to what type to buy. I want a wooden one and my husband wants a metal one. I need some feedback from you guys as to the pros and cons of each type of swing set and why or why not you like the type of swing set you talk about. Also if you have any sites that have reviews on swing sets. thanks.

My wooden table had papers on it, and syrup got spilt on them, and now some paper is still stuck. I peeled off as much as I could. Is there a faster way to get it off?

I have a new wooden table in my kitchen from a name brand manufacturer. Will the wood and or finish get damaged if I wipe it down with a damp cloth to clean up crumbs?

Thanks for any advice

I noticed that most homes are built with wood and some others are built with mixture of wood and bricks. The buildings that are built with steel, concrete or cement are usually offices or goverment buildings or some homes. I ask this because most of the buildings taken down by hurricane Katrina and the tornedo that hit Alabama were made using wood. Is using cement and/or conrete not more cost-effective and won't more lives be protected?

My daughter has dull, gold knobs on her bedroom furniture and I'd like to get them shiny and looking like new gold ones. I've tryed all of the gold paints, even the 14 carat gold paint. Doesn't give the brightness of new gold knobs. Has anyone tired to apply gold leaf to knobs and does it give you the bright gold look that you wanted? Thanks.....

It was a new shirt and I paid more for it then I would really have liked to. I only wore it a couple of times and it was my favorite. It is 100% Rayon. Is there any hope for it? I would be VERY grateful if you have any suggestions. Thanks!

I recently bought a cool mist humidifier. It smells slightly musty and am wondering how to clean it. The back of the box says to use vinegar weekly. Do I fill the entire 2 gallon humidifier and let it run, stinking up my entire house? Do I wipe down the insides? Any other ideas?

Hello,

I'm trying to cut copper piping only there is not enough room for the pipe cutter to make a full circle due to wall studs. This is in the wall behind the shower, I had to cut in the backside. Can copper pipe be cut with a jigsaw or hacksaw? If so, wat type of blade can be used? We have no running water and the wife is about to hang me. Got to get this pipe cut.

Thanks!
