I have a new wooden table in my kitchen from a name brand manufacturer. Will the wood and or finish get damaged if I wipe it down with a damp cloth to clean up crumbs?

Thanks for any advice

A damp cloth will not damage your wooden table as long as you wipe it dry. Sitting water or puddles of water will damage the wood.

Hi there. It won't ruin your table if you dry the table with a dry dish towel right after. When I bought my wood table I just cleaned it with furniture polish all the time. Then when the newness wore off i just used a wet clothe and dried it right off. I couldn't ever tell a difference.
