Well, I have some really nice clothes that I love to wear, but ever since I lost weight, they're about a size too big. Does anyone know how I could shrink them to fit me now?

Hot water washing & hot dryer-cycles will make jeans smaller "temporarily"...a permanent fix would be to take them to the Cleaners --if they also have 'alterations'--and just have them hemmed & taken in...it's a classy, professional fix & looks great (if you don't re-gain the weight)...weigh the cost of the alteration against the purchase cost of a pair of jeans that fit...if they're just for casual wear, maybe they're not worth the expense; if they're good jeans that can be dressed up with a blazer & a dressy shoe...get 'em altered and strut your stuff!

Two tips:
1 - Try washing them in HOT water and drying them on high heat.

Take your jeans to a tailor and have them altered. It's the only way to "shrink" clothes to fit your new shape. It costs about $8, far cheaper than new jeans.

i always wash my jeans in cold water and dry on low heat and it seems to shrink the length every time even though that is the washing directions on them. wash and dry them a few times, it should work if you need them to only shrink one size

look on the label. If it says one hundred% cotton, there's a sturdy probability it wasn't pre-reduced in size and warmth will cause them to shrink. do not wash in warm water and don't use severe warmth interior the dryer...
