Anyone ever see those couch-like, foam sitting things that unfold into a bed that a guest could sleep on? What are they called and where can I find them?

I live in Minnesota and I am completely new to the lawn care stuff. I have called TruGreen, Scott and some local lawn care providers. Their application process and periods are pretty much same. But, I want to know what are the chemicals that we should avoid to have a good result in future as well as to have a good environment.

We bought a modular home last year. The pipes that run under the house to the septic tank have a "u-shape" in the line not far from the bathroom. We were told by someone who says he was plumber that this "u-shape" is to keep the septic smell from coming thru the toilets/sinks into the house. I've been told by someone else (not a plumber, don't ask) that it's wrong and it will clog. Is there a professional plumber out there who can tell me what's right? We still have warranty left on the house and if it needs to be fixed, I want it fixed under the warranty.

Also, do we need to regularly put something like Ridex (spelling?) into the septic, and if yes, how often?

Thanks!

I am breathing in something harmful. If so, is there some way to combat the mildew. The mildew appears as brown speckles on visible porion of the pages when the book is closed. Will this damage the books? Thanks a lot.

I have two bamboo trees that i have had for the past 5 years. They each started at about a foot and are now approximately 4 feet. One of the bamboo trees is now beginning to turn yellow, is there anything I could do to turn it back green. I am thinking it might be because of the cold weather. These are lucky bamboo trees and I need to get this fixed ASAP. I hold these bamboo trees in just glass water bottles.

I like the kinds of plants that look like the aloe vera(I already have one) and is a desert plant. For the size, I'd like it to grow atleast over a foot tall, and not to grow out out of the roof. It will be spending it's days outdoors and nights indoors. The place where it's going to be is room tempurature around 75 degrees, well lit, and a constant chirping of budgies.
What plant should I get?

Also, is it worth trying to repair? That is, will the crack simply continue to spread even if I seal it? I have heard of the following adhesive compounds: caulking, epoxy-resin. Will either of these do the job? Do I need some other product that I've never heard of? Thanks a lot.

I live in New Jersey and we recently had a bit of snow.

There isn't much, about 3 to 4 inches, but it was snow mixed with quite a bit of rain.

I've let it sit on my driveway for almost a week now and it's frozen over, I've been trying to shovel pieces away but huge chunks of ice come out. Shoveling my driveway is too slow and ineffective.

I tried boiling water to no avail, I couldn't blanket enough ice with the water to sufficiently melt it, and I can't get my shovel under the ice either

How can I shovel this driveway?!

Seeing as a layer of paint actually takes up space can this ever occur or is it impossible? I really want to try this in a huge room and see the finished product as just a tiny crevice through a doorway.

My space heater is only a couple of months old and it keeps shutting off every couple of minutes. I have to unplug it from the wall, wait 5 minutes and it will work again for a short period of time. My room is freezing and I'm setting the temp to 75 degrees. Two other of my roomates are having the same problem with their space heaters too. All three stop working at the same time... Why are they not working? Please help.
