I read alot about houses burning down because of there furnaces. how does this happen?

I have a friend that is quite obsessed with egyptian stuff and I want to make him a present, but he wants it hand-made.. Do you have any ideas how I can make my own papyrus and what do I have to use? Thanks a lot!

as far as I can see all the wiring from the timer switch is still in order and the heat switches are still working, any ideas??

I would like to grow some of my own vegetables, but don't have any outside space. I guess I can do it in pots but I'm not sure what kinds of things grow well indoors, and if it would make my flat smell of wet soil or plant food!

We have a General Power Humidifier and humidistat on our furnance. As of now we have our humidistat on 15. I know we have too much humidity, but I don't know how to set the humidistat on a higher amount and not get the water on our sills. Are we doing the right thing? If we keep the humidistat on 15, we seem to have less water.
