my neighbor just called me and asked if I would be interested in cleaning her house every other week. I certainly wanna do it, but I am not sure what to charge. Its a 3 bedroom/ 2 bathroom house and she wants all cleaning done like sweeping, mopping, light laundry, etc. Does anyone know the average rate? Or around about what I should ask her to pay me?

I have a completely unfinished basement in the Cincinnati area. I want walls, ceiling, carpet, bathroom, and other things that make a basement complete. My question is what is a reasonable price to pay per square foot to get it finished?

There is no outlet on either side of the wall, only a light switch on the other side of the wall, near where I would like to install the new one. I know I may have to run it through a stud. I need a box and the GFCI outlet obviously, but it's exactly what kind of wires and where to connect them that I don't know about. The wall is finished, but the drywall issue is no problem. Can I even use the switch wires to connect to? Also, if I connect it to the switch wires, will the switch on the other side of the wall have to be on to have power to the outlet? Feel free to let me know about any variables! Thanks!

When I flush the toilet, it starts making this noise as the water is filling up the tank...after it is filled, the noise stops. I've opened it up and it seems like it is related to the part that fills the tank, but I'm not sure. Anyone know what the problem might be? thanks for your expertise.

So this morning I saw ants around the sink and couldn't figure out why, I opened the cabinet under the sink and there were quite a few more in there. The only things in there was trash bags, dish soap, and an ant killing spray from when they came from somewhere behind my fridge (cat treat got left on the floor and attracted them the first time but haven't given him any since).

So I noticed that there was some black buildup around the white pipe, didn't have time to investigate it since I had to head to work.

Also for 2 weeks or so I have been having black residue on my plastic cups after they have gone through the dishwasher, when you rub it off it is almost like a think soot layer, but nothing fell or burned on the heater coil.

I was curious if anyone has experienced this or has an inkling on what it could be and why it would attract ants.

The teapot has been wrapped in newspaper and in storage for about 10 years. It also has a musty smell if anyone knows how to get rid of that.

I have an asparagus fern that is in a large pot outside and was killed by an unexpected frost about a month ago. I just left it out there dead and brown since, but I have now noticed that there are some new green sprigs.

It's in potting soil with nutrients and has been getting adequate water. I have excised all the dead parts of the plant above ground level and left it with just the tiny little live portion. Is there anything I can do to revive it other than just wait and see?

I'm shopping for China Dinnerware and Cutlery. Here where I live, in Egypt, I found beautiful ones! There were Turkish ones and German ones, and the price difference was outrageous!!! The German things were double and sometimes even tripple the price!
I know that generally German things are considered the best. But is the price difference really worth it?? Has anybody tried Turkish Cutlery?

Thanks :)

Snowblower Trouble?
Have an 8 HP snapper snowblower. Put new gas in it each time its used. It will fire up and theres a spark but won't stay running. Any ideas why?

Its a briggs and stratton engine, takes reg. unleaded gas, and the choke isnt closed. On the gas line there is an on off switch and its on.

Okay, I have an older house and there are mice all of a sudden. Quite a few. They're some in my room. NO FOOD is in here but I do have Cockatiel Seed for my bird, Sunny. They're like nesting behind my computer desk where all my wires are and there's board to keep them off the floor, so I can't get to it. Mouse traps aren't working, too light for it to snap. I don't want to move Sunny because that's not fair to her but she's getting scared by them and they're pretty brave. They'll come out in mid day and right in front of me and one actually jumped at me. I feel so dirty but I'm a clean person. These freaking mice need to go and I need ideas on how to knock them out without poison, because they die where I don't know where they are or can't get to. HELP ME!!

Now it has this overpowering odor that I can't wear it anymore. I have put it in the closet, but I am afraid that the smell could be from some dangerous chemicals or something. Am I being paranoid? What could be the possible source of this smell? It is a Liz Claiborne pant and I have never drycleaned it prior to putting it in the washer.

Also, I went to check on the air filter, but I do not even know how to find where that is. My unit has no easy doors to open, or buttons to release a door. All sides are fixed, and all the ducts, inflow and outflow, are at the top. Thanks.

I have a tapping noise in my dash of my 2003 Corolla and have been advised that this is actually from the upper suspension mount for the spring on which insulating material must be applied...Is this necessary? Can I live without it or should I have it done? Can I do it myself? How would I do it, if so?
