I use a gentle soap/water mixture. If there is anything hard to get off I use a wet sponge and a tiny bit of baking soda. Then, I make it shine with a bit of vinegar.

There are a lot of really good cermaic top cleaners for stoves. They have a slight abrasive agent in them, but don't scratch the surface. You can find them in most supermarkets by the cleaning supplies.

At home depot you can buy a kit that has the glass top cleaner, the abrasive sponge, it looks kind of like a Cello pad, and it also comes with the razor. Works great.

Scrape burnt food with a sharp razor blade. I always use a store brand cleaner after. Then I finish it off with a qlass cleaner. Sometimes, I think I hate my class top. When it's dirty it looks bad. But, when it's clean it looks awesome.

I am in the cleaning business and here is our secret!
We buy this cleaning cloth off the internet. You have to buy in packages of 5 but they are only like $3 bucks a piece. I have ordered them and use them on everything, especially cleaning windows and clean mirrors. They are made out of tiny fibers. They are guaranteed not to scratch and all you do is rinse the cloth under water, wring it out and wipe ANY surface with no streaks or scratch. Use em over and over. I have not thrown one away yet!
I am sold on this ...I encourage you to try it out….hope this helps…Steve
