I have some roses that I got for Valentines Day, and they are already starting to dry. What is the best way to flatten and dry out the roses without crushing or bruising them so I can save them with my card? Thanks!

I'm building a home bar and I need to start thinking about the look of the woodwork. The wood is all birch or oak. I need to paint one piece of it, while simply finish (and maybe stain) the rest. What types of paint can I use on the wood and do I need to put anything down before the paint? For finishing it, I have Amber Shellac that worked great on my last project, but I'm looking for a slightly darker, warmer look. How might I achieve this? All the wood is bare.

Don't ask how the marker got there... I am sure other parents understand. Is there anything that can be used to get permanent marker out of the seat of corduroy pants.

Which Vacuum is better...bagless or canister. And I mean cleaning wise. And with Canister, do you have to buy bags? Or with either, do you need to buy anything other than the vacuum EVER?

So I kinda want to write a message on soccer field in red and black paint but I haven't the slightest idea as to how I could do it well and relatively inexpensively. I have though of getting the white chalk used on soccer and football fields, colouring it red with dye/paint, then putting it through a manual fertilizer spreade. Anyone else got a better way please?

I rent a half shabby apartment, and the water pipes freeze when it's really cold. I thought about actually buying some of those long foam insulators ( the ones they use on kids bicycle handlebars ) and just work them around the pipes in the basement. I just thought it would be so much easier to apply than regular insulation that gets wet from condensation etc. would it work ?

I just started renting an apartment this week. Not even moved in yet, and I noticed that the refridgerator has a crack on the bottom shelf and I can't even put any pressure on the shelf at all. Are they responsible to replace it or do I have to?

The water in the bowl doesn't empty sometimes, it's completely random. Holding the flush lever down doesn't make a difference. Sometimes I'll walk into the bathroom and notice the water in the bowl has dropped dramatically. I dropped a bucker of 5 gallons of water into the bowl and it has no trouble going down. When flushing the toilet a giant bubble comes out of the drain before it starts to go down.
