I am going to try and get a man,s aspect of what is happening to my house but if
there are female construction contractors out there please feel free to answer please.I have owned my home for 6 years now (30 yr term thing fha/hud loan) I
have had 2 issues arise where I did not catch it in time.A T-Section Alley Way
that when the trash trucks come through and need to turn north they have destroyed all my ideas to prevent this destroying my property in a good section
I paid to have gravel and stancard size 8" rocks put in place where the trucks rip up that section. They even snagged a wire and yanked my wooden fence out on the other side of my garage.I am having to fight what is aware of.
2.)an accident to my house bysome lame driver took out 36+ft,ing of fencing and to cut this down, the 2 guys that were referred to me used flashing as a wrap for the bottom board that is acually a wood siding.Have to do this in 2
seperate answers. Please follow me on this.

We have a water main that runs through our garden that appears to have burst. As a homeowner (and not a council tenant) is it our own responsibility/expense to fix it, or are the local council responsible for this? We live in East Ayrshire.

the wiring diagram on the timer is very sketchy. I am wiring a intermatic 480 timer to a three phase pump. Do hot legs go to both the line terminal and the common terminal, and the load terminal go to the coil? I have 480 accross the line and the common terminals so I think it should work, but the clock doesn't turn.

We live on the top floor of a 3 story apartment building, and we have a really bad mouse problem. We catch usually 5 a week, and its been like that for the past year. They keep comming and comming, and they crap all over the place, they are getting into everything and even making one closet stink. We have a nice apartment, so it isnt a slum.

So my question is this: We told the office about it and they said all they can do it put glue pads down (we have 2 children, one is 1 and the other is 2 so we can put snap traps down) but they refuse to do anything.... so what else can we do? Can we contact the health department or something because this is really filthy and they need to come and see where they are comming from.

We live in an apartment building with four units and there are no other people occupying three of the units. About an hour ago, we discovered a huge water leak in the unit next to ours. The water boiler in the attic burst and water is flooding the attic, the level below, the floor below that one, all the way to the basement. There are several inches of water pooling in the center of each of the apartments. No water is on our side, but I'm worried about the structure of the building with that much water damage. We've started packing our stuff (we were planning on moving in the next few weeks). But now there is a large leak, and we are in the dead of winter. Sub zero temps, snow, etc--Chicago area.

Is it adviseable to stay in the building till we find a place, or should we just pack up and move immediately?
