The surface of an acrylic tub is very easy to keep clean; there are no pores for dirt to penetrate, so dirt will just rinse off. For sanitary purposes, you should clean your bathtub with a non-abrasive soap. Dish washing detergent such as Joy®, Palmolive®, Ivory®, etc and a soft sponge or cloth is all that you need. If you spill something on the bathtub and need something stronger, the following are SAFE to use: Fantastic®, Tackle®, Top Job®, Formula 409®, Scrub Free®, Calgon Bath®, Windex®, Clorox Bleach®, Spiffits® Bath, Glass Plus®, and **** & Span Powder®.

Do not allow nail polish remover, acetone, dry cleaning fluid, paint remover or other solvents to come into contact with the acrylic tub. Also, abrasive cleaners or powders must not be used, since they will dull the surface. Do not use Lestoil, Windex, Mr. Clean, Dow Disinfectant Bathroom Cleaner, or cleaning products in aerosol cans. Do not use wire brushes or any other metal implement on the bathtub surface. That being said, for general cleaning, you can use warm water and liquid dishwashing detergent. Stubborn dirt or stains may be removed using granular **** and Span mixed with water. VM&P (Varnish Makers & Painter´s) Naptha can be used to remove excess adhesives and/or wet oil based paint. Contact the manufacturer of your tub for more specific information.

My wife uses Vim on ours, works well and doesn't scratch. We also wax it... YUP, car wax... about once a month makes the grime and water marks run off and any left are nicely removed with the wax. Makes it nice and shiny too. Pick a wax safe for clear coat finishes or for that matter: fiberglass boat wax. I have both, they work well.
