How do I get rid of ants outside? Like in flower pots, hanging baskets and trees ,flower beds, porch I have tried everything. They are not fire ants or sugsr ants. PS whatever the ants get in will eventually die, like my flowers and trees.

I would like to place my bed (now placed diagnally) under a set of double windows to open up my space. I never keep the windows open (They are covered with fabric always). Is this bad for the chi? Is there anything I can do so that it "corrects" the bad chi? Thanks!

The orchid I had died but then at the top of the stem where the flower died it started to grow leaves again. I cut it off and planted it in some orchid mixture I purchased and now another set of leaves has grown again. Any ideas? The one I planted is still alive and has those root looking shoots growing out of it all over, but does not seem to be doing too much more. There is no sign of a stem coming out of the leaves.

Often when I open/close the garage door, it stops abrubptly in the middle and goes the other way. So I have to keep pressing the remote or wall switch to fully close/open it. It doesn't happen all the time, and nothing seems to be blocking the little red light at the front.

Any ideas/suggestions - other than purchasing a new garage door system?

I'm fairly new to this state, so I get surprised easily by the bugs here. I first noticed this spider firmly attached to the underside of my dog. I removed it and killed it, of course. I then found another one in my bed later. Tonight, I looked down at my arm, and another little creeper was on my arm! They're the smallest little spider, but it doesn't seem to be the type of spider where you can even see the two sections that spiders have. It's very round, very black, and has a hard shell. It really seems to like to grab ahold of what it's got, though it doesn't burrow. It's about the size of a regular-sized mole. Weird comparison, I know, but it's the best I could think of.

I've been wiping the floor for about 3 hours now. I've gone over it numerous times and it's almost clean but not quite. My question.... can I go to bed and leave the floor if it is still slightly cloudy from the grout (and wipe it again tomorrow of course) or do I have to make it squeeky clean tonight?

Can I use an existing hot water boiler/radiator to heat the floor of a soon to be remodeled bathroom or will it get too hot for the tile/mortar? Can this then be used as the sole source of heat?

I was reaching for a candle to blow it out and I tipped it over on my christmas talblecloth. I was told to put paper towel over the cloth and then iron it and it will pull the wax out. Is that right?

I came home one day and one zone woudn't turn off. I know I need to call someone to come look at it, but I was hoping someone might give me a heads up. I turned off the water source and left it alone for awhile hoping it would fix itself, but when I turned it back on the sprinkler turned on automatically.

Do those drycleaning sheets you stick in the dryer, versus bringing your clothes to a drycleaner, actually work? I would love to be able to "wash" my comforters and blankets this way, but it sounds hokey.

What's the best way to keep heat in / keep cold out? The storm panels are closed, and I'm just looking for something temporary I can use just for the cold months. Some rooms have radiator fin under them, some don't.
