I would like to place my bed (now placed diagnally) under a set of double windows to open up my space. I never keep the windows open (They are covered with fabric always). Is this bad for the chi? Is there anything I can do so that it "corrects" the bad chi? Thanks!

it's better if you can your bed against a solid wall. this wall will "support" you and your decisions in life, and avoid backstabbers. the only way to correct this is to move your bed against a wall. even having a headboard with a big window behind it won't do the trick. you're just tricking yourself into a half-cooked solution.

You are not alone! Feng Shui suggests that energy flows through the openings in our home such as doors and windows. Sleeping under an open window that is not filtered allows our personal energy to be caught in the normal flow of chi. Feng Shui also focuses a great deal on points of power in the home such as furniture facing doorways.
Given both of these notions, you could place your bed under the window if the energy flow were obtructed by plants between your bed and the window. Personally (when I had the same delimma) I used curtains on the window and a headboard on the bed. This seemed to work just fine. My bed also faced the interior bed room door (a position of power). So, I believed that balanced out the energy flow of the room. Currently my bed is facing an exterior door in an older apartment. To block this major path of chi, I have placed book case near the door that blocks the view from the bed. It works nicely.
Furthermore, It (chi) is also a state of mind. If you feel safe with your bed under a window then you will sleep fine. If you fear intrusion while being under the window then you will likely not sleep well in that position.
Worst case scenerio: Try it... If you feel uncomfortable, then change it. Good luck!

Troyaj197 had a pretty good answer, as did the person who gently reminded you that the important part is personal comfort/intuitive feel.

As a fairly new practitioner, I felt compelled to write and clarify a couple of things.

Trojaj197 had success with the curtains-headboard-face door solution for three reasons: (1) covering the window (as you have) not only adds to the privacy but keeps energy from symbolically 'falling out' - but please do clean the window from time to time (it signifies a clear view of the world/the way you see things); (2) a headboard signifies the 'support' you have, particularly if you have a relationship (if you're in a relationship and don't have a headboard, you may feel less than supported by your partner); and, (3) the bed-and-door situation is a matter of (as Troyaj197 alluded to) the best positioning -- you don't want the door to open at an angle to the bed and create a 'threatening' opening of exposure to the sleeping figure; positioning the bed so you can see who enters but not be in direct line with entry is good. You never want your back to a door. Ordinarily, we'd say that about the window, but sometimes space doesn't permit that be avoided so - position better regarding the doro and provide a 'solution' like headboard and curtains for the window.

Long story short, it sounds like you mostly need to make sure you have a headboard when you move your bed! :)

Other bedroom notes: it's also wise to have (a) an even number of pieces of furniture in the room (even vs odd in order to settle the central nervous system for sleeping); (b) a set of matched bedside tables so they represent equality (again a nod to equality for a relationship, and a pair to mimic the ideal pairing of partners); and (c) an empty area under the bed - symbolic of room for chi to circulate.

It is better if you have an headboard or a canopy bed to correct the bad chi.
