I've not only washed ties, I've pressed them and made/sewn them. If a tie has wrinkles (came from the store with wrinkles, or has a fold crease where it shouldn't) then you'd need to lightly dampen it and then put a pressing cloth on top and using the gentle or low heat just press over the cloth till the wrinkle straightens out. Now if you're saying that you washed the tie and can't straighten it out and it has funny wrinkles in it, you need to know that ties are cut on the bias so sometimes you can't press them to get out all of the humps. If you are saying that you washed the tie and already ironed it and made funny wrinkles in it with the iron, then it's time to throw the tie away.
Silk ties should be sent to the drycleaners. The poly blend ties can be washed in cold water and hung to drip dry (then lightly pressed if needed).

Try blasting the wrinkles with a hot blow dryer for a bit. I've done this on other items of clothing, and it works pretty good. Just be careful if the tie is silk, don't overdo it.

Bring them in the bathroom when you take a shower. Perhaps the steam will loosen up the wrinkles.

Downy has a product called "wrinkle release". It's wonderful and leaves a clean scent once it is dry.

You spray it on, smooth out the wrinkles w/your hand and let it dry. That's it :)

If you are at a hotel, take it into the hottub room, or the sauna. If you are at home, place it the bathroom, or put it into the dryer with a washcloth.
