The "cold" faucet will turn off but it has to be lined up properly. The facuet simply turns in a 360 degree circle with no stopping point to shut off the water, unless it is lined up properly. Can this plastic stem be replaced? Thanks

We all know how much work goes into a good garden, by the time you realize any mistakes you might have made, it's too late to correct them and "there's always next year". Well- my family and I have had a fantastic garden the past 15 years at our old house, but it was 'there' when we bought it- we didn't have to dig it up from scratch. Just want a good fall harvest- what can I do to get the best soil?

I was awakened this morning to the desperate howling of one of my cats. I assumed she was upset about the coyotes in the woods, but when I got up to make a phone call, I saw my other cat playing with something on the floor. Because we've been chopping wood, I thought it was a small piece of bark. But when it hit the kitchen floor, it was silent, so I figured I better check it out. Lo and behold it was a little critter! It looks like a teeny tiny mouse body, only with a shorter tail, and the face is almost microscopic with a long nose, almost like a mole or possum, teeny bits for eyes and teeny ears.

It's a dark gray/brownish color, measuring maybe 2 inches long (not including the tail.) Could this be a baby vole, or is it something else?

We built a bungalow 30+ years ago and even though in the past few years we've had some little problems with condentation where the bathroom window would be slightly wet inside and cupboards placed on the outside wall side (on 1 wall only) would be black behind the cupboards, it wasn't too bad.

In the past 6 months we've had a new roof, including new felt, tiles and vents at the eaves of your bungalow (the vents we never had on this bungalow before). Since then, we've had water on the inside of 3 different windows including puddles on the window sills. We also have black on the top corners of every room.

I really don't know what to do as the cavitity walls are filled, we already have vents at the eaves of the bungalow and we even leave windows on draft to let some air into the rooms.

The other thing we've tried is to build a hardboard stud wall behind the wardopes. This only hides the problem in this room, it doesnt cure it.

Please help as I'm tearing my hair out!

I once bought this item at wal-mart in the laundry section. But now, I can't find them anywhere. They are made of heavy plastic (like a clothes hanger) and have a row of 5-7 hooks. If anyone has any idea where I can purchase these, PLEASE let me know. I am building a house and am on a mission to find this item. Thanks

I live in northern California in an apartment that has serious mold all around the window frames, there are also two access panels in the ceiling in my childrens room and the bathroom, which have mold coming out of them. The property manager has been notified several times, I've lived here for over three years, but nothing has been done to stop the mold. It is so much I can not keep up with cleaning it all, plus it stains the paint where it's been. Is there any advice or information you could provide?

Through Yahoo Answers, I already know that "A spud washer is the seal between the toilet bowl and the water tank just above it. It keeps the water from leaking all over the bowl every time you flush.".....but I need to know what the more detailed term means, as well.

Thanks.

Tide has a brand that is especially designed for these washers, but it is more expensive. The manual does not specifically recommend any one type of detergent, but I've been told you have to use these special detergents in order for the washer to run optimally.
