I recently bought a pair of WHITE adidas sports shoes and i coloured it with a black permanent (Ya, i know, sounds stupid but thats not the point). Anyway, it would be really helpful if you can suggest a few ideas as to how i might be able to remove these stains. It says that it is made of synthetic leather.

I am currently renting a cottage in Traverse City for 4 months because of an internship I received in the area. Yesterday, my pipes froze and I have no water and dont know how that is going to change. I am looking in to finding another place to live for the remaining 3 months I am here. I have been offered one place, for a little less than I am paying now, however it is smaller and doesnt have a stove, or oven to cook with. My question is, do I try and make the landlord of the place I am in now fix the pipes, or try to find me another place, etc., or do I move to a place without those amenities and use a Georg Foreman or something for all my cooking needs? I guess I dont really know what I'm asking, but I need help.

I have recently purchased a 10 year old home and have very cold closets that are freezing. We have also 2 bedroom located over the garage that are also not staying warm thru the winter. Does anyone have any tips or tricks that can offer to help with this problem? I have replaced the windows in the bedroom which has helped a little. I have noticed that if I put my hand next to the wall that is facing the outside it feels cold. Like there might not be any insulation... but then again first time home owner so I don’t know what I am talking about! HELP

They're thinner than what i would class as 'fishing' maggots - a dark yellowy colour with a darker head area. There are no flies around, no rotting food or nasty smells. I'm confused! Do you think i have a problem somewhere or is it common to find the odd one or two now and again?

I have decided to tile my bathroom myself. What tools are essential...and where do I start...someone told me to start in the midle of the wall.

Can I tile on top of old tiles...I heard that I can?

Also the bathroom widow is set back into the wall so how would I make a neat edge around the window?

Be so grateful for any tips I can get!
