Yes i already know im thick.Would it be worth repairing(pc not my brain) and what would i need or is it best getting rid.Any advice would be great.

you've just blown a fuse 6.3 amp cost about 20p bit difficult acessing it to change it though

You might be lucky and just blown a fuse in the power unit ( a few pence). Have a look inside and see.
You might be less lucky and blown the power unit itself (about 30 quid). This may need a technician to test. (£50 + parts at PC World)
You may have been very unlucky and damaged the motherboard (about £120).

Assuming that it was on 230 volt setting to begin with and was working, you have applied 230 volts to a circuit that is supposed to run on 115 volts .
That will fry the power supply. If the power supply was fused you may be lucky and just have to replace the fuse.

I did that once and i blew it up, it can be repaired though i dont know what it blew up inside but it didnt cost much to repair

Did you try switching it back to 230v

There should be an internal fuse in ur pc, u will have to open it up,

i stupidly did that and it fried, it's fairly easy to repair so they said in the shop but it depend's how old your computer is might not be worth fixing. x
