Having done both and having lived in 3, I suggest certainly you can get books and advice from major Home stores, but it might be to your advantage in time, energy, and monetary expense to consider wrought iron, pre made, specific to mobiles.
A Porch is another matter, and certainly may need permits?
An easy method I use often is concrete footers, poured into 2 ft deep holes, then Pier Block (Adjustable bracket type) 2 x 6 or 2 x 8 treated lumber for the framework, 4 x 4 treated lumber for the supports, and either the 5/8,,, 7/8,,, or 2 x material for the deck itself.
Depending on the total size, and the weight load, I usually do "joists" 24 inches on center, with bracing perpendicular at 24 inches as well. I use carriage bolts to secure all the framework, and perhaps galvanized "hangers", and galvanized decking screws of an appropriate length to secure the decking material.
I also "Treat" after the fact with something like "Thompsons".

First think how wide you want the steps if using decking and are later in life i recomend 3 boards so build a box best out of 15x5mm timber(lumber) 135cm long by 100cm dont forget a support for the centre another at 90cmx100cm and another at 45cmx100cm thats if you boards are 15cm wide 15x3=45 that gives you 3 steps so put 3 boards on the bottom step then 3 on the next and 3 on the top and thats it

We are in the same place, with the same question. The help we recieved was several people who had done this before. We got How-To books at Lowes and studied them. If you have a friend that is a contractor, ask him for some help, maybe you could trade labor or something like that. We are building a large porch
48X15 It is custom yes, just remember you need a facer board along your home, the last row of siding nearest to the foundation using lag-bolts to secure it. There is much more info, but seriously get a how-to book on decks and porches. It workd for us.

Go to store like lowes and take a class as this is too long and difficult to describe here. Do not do this without written instructions or training. You can order a book of instructions online. You can ask your browser anything. Ask How do I build steps and then click search web.

If you are planning to start on your woodworking project, this isn't something you should use, it's something that you would be insane not to. Go here https://tr.im/vTpbE
Truth is, I've been a carpenter for almost 36 years, and I haven't found anything like this for less than 10's of thousands of dollars.

you measure the height divide it by about 7 3/4 and that will be how many steps you have. 7 3/4 is the preferred height.say if your height is 48" you will have 6 steps the measurement for the steps will be 7 3/4 by 9"
