Okay, I have an older house and there are mice all of a sudden. Quite a few. They're some in my room. NO FOOD is in here but I do have Cockatiel Seed for my bird, Sunny. They're like nesting behind my computer desk where all my wires are and there's board to keep them off the floor, so I can't get to it. Mouse traps aren't working, too light for it to snap. I don't want to move Sunny because that's not fair to her but she's getting scared by them and they're pretty brave. They'll come out in mid day and right in front of me and one actually jumped at me. I feel so dirty but I'm a clean person. These freaking mice need to go and I need ideas on how to knock them out without poison, because they die where I don't know where they are or can't get to. HELP ME!!

It's inhumane, I think, but if you have an infestation get mouse glue traps. They don't have to set off the trap--they just get stuck in it. You cna either let them die of dehydration while stuck to the trap or you can drop the trap into a bucket of water and put them out of their misery. I like the snap-traps because they are quick but the glue traps are foolproof.

if its that bad, no traps will get them all, I have them more than ever this year, I set out 6 traps and every-night for a week I would have to set them 2 times a night, all 6 traps, I couldn't win, I called an Exterminator, and he said with the warm winter we are having they are migrating more and more, they came and set some traps and its taking 4 weeks but I am not seeing anymore as of now, but I am sure they will be back. I am a very clean person, and I got all my food in plastic storage containers, so they can't get to them. Hope u have some luck with what u do, but try the Exterminator its going to be pricey, but its worth ur sanity.

With that many you need a professional exterminator; You are feeding them though with the bird seed. Go on line and research mice/reproduction,. You will be amazed. Don*t wait. If they start in on your wires you will really have problems big time.

if they are that small they sound like field mice there is a poision you can get that will make them look for water try that also the bird might wont to catch them and may not be scared as you think
