I'm shopping for China Dinnerware and Cutlery. Here where I live, in Egypt, I found beautiful ones! There were Turkish ones and German ones, and the price difference was outrageous!!! The German things were double and sometimes even tripple the price!
I know that generally German things are considered the best. But is the price difference really worth it?? Has anybody tried Turkish Cutlery?

Thanks :)

We had turkish china that lasted for ever, we had turkish china that broke apart in the dishwasher.
My mother has german china, that lasts (also in the dishwasher) for 2 generations now and you still can buy spare dishes.

I think if you compare the quality china, that might be the major difference. Some german manufacturers guarantee that they will be able to deliver spare dishes for up to 50 yrs.

That might be the main difference talking about quality china, and maybe the fact that you never will get a poor quality from Rosenthal, Kaiser, Hutschenreuter and so on.
