Simply freeze the wax with an ice cube or ice pack. You can also use a commercial product that is designed to freeze wax on carpeting or upholstery. Once the wax is frozen, use a clean, blunt object to shatter the wax. Immediately pick up or vacuum the pieces of wax from the area. If you wait too long and the pieces soften, then you will need to refreeze them.

Let the wax dry. Get a clean tea towel. Get a hot iron with no steam. Place the towel over the wax and iron it off. the wax will lift off the rug onto the towel - dont use your best tea towel! This works on any fabric with wax on. Make sure you test the heat of the iron on the fabric.

Place brown paper or greaseproof paper over the wax and iron over it ( Not too hot a setting.) The paper will soak up the wax.
We also used kerosene to remove wax from a tile floor ( major kitchen disaster). You could try this but patch test it first in case it takes out the colour.

That`s is pretty simple: you take an old newspaper, put it on your rug , and then iron the surface of the newspaper, but be careful not to have the iron on its max level! Somewhere at middle is ok. You will see the wax sticking to the newspaper, so leaving your carpet safe and sound:)

Use a brown paper bag, one from the grocery store, and your iron set on low. Just iron over it, pulling it up every now and then to see if it is coming up. The bag will soak up the oils in the wax. If it is colored, you may need to hit it up with some spot cleaner. Hope this helps you out.
