My space heater is only a couple of months old and it keeps shutting off every couple of minutes. I have to unplug it from the wall, wait 5 minutes and it will work again for a short period of time. My room is freezing and I'm setting the temp to 75 degrees. Two other of my roomates are having the same problem with their space heaters too. All three stop working at the same time... Why are they not working? Please help.

Hmmm, while factory defects and faulty sensors/controls are possible what catches my eye is that your two roomates are experiencing the same reaction from their heaters, and that they are synchronised in there out times.
Are all three running on the same circuit?
While you are not mentioning tripping any breakers, what you may be experiencing is low or inadequate power supply. Try experimenting with only a single heater running and see if it reacts the same. If it does, have an electrician check the circuit breaker for you, it should have tripped when it became overloaded.

This sounds like you have a defective heater. Are the other heaters mentioned the same brand? Most stores in my area have a 90 day return policy on defective items. I would try to return them and get a different brand.

most space heater shut off when they reach a certain tempter. But what it sound like to me is either they are over heating or have bad tip switch. I would take them back to where i bought them for replacement.

cheap unit I think.... it's overheating itself and the thermal safety switch is shutting it off and you then re-set it. I would return it and get a better one from the same place. Get a stronger one for a larger space and it won't have to work so hard.

Your auto-shut off value is stuck, get a phillips head screw driver and take out every screw you can until you set it free, every screw until it works right
