We live in a nice area.. and all of a sudden we got roof rats in our attic.. Are they about the size of a regular mouse.. They don't appear to be large.. Can't figure how they got up there unless they climbed from the trees.. The problems is apparently every where in our area.

Im 14 years old, (I'll be 15 years old on Sunday, Feb. 25th) and I am wanting to start a garden from scratch this summer.

I would like to grow raspberries, and any pretty flowers that will grow in a kinda sunny and shady area.

I don't know anything about gardening, not even when to start on, so if you could please give me some advice and tips for my garden, I would be very grateful... Thanks!

I guess there was a leak, because it is right under the tub, but we do not have renter's insurance, so I was curious as to whether we had any recourse or not. Any feedback is helpful. Thank you

Seriously! wants to know the difference from the Tempurpedic foam mattress and the one that Walmart sell that came in a box ready...I had the best sleep of my life from a Two Hundred and Twenty Five dollars foam mattress that I purchased from Walmart (225.00) Hundred dollars bed, Not Thousands of dollars. I even did the glass of water test on the walmart 8'inch foam mattress that came ready in a box and got the same results like the Tempurpedic foam mattress commercial. Could they be the same bed but some people are just paying for the name Tempurpedic?

I have searched the web over and over and I cannot find a seriously in-depth site. I think my trees are a type of white pine- long, soft light green needles and branches that break easily under the weight of ice or heavy snow. The bark is grayish and the sap is white. the cones are slender- 4 to 8 inches in length. Right now, the trees are approximately 20 years old and range from 10 to 15 feet in height. In the Fall, some of the needles turn brown and blanket the ground below the trees. As a matter of fact, within the thickest clusters of trees, the ground is a soft carpet of needles that have fallen over the years. I've yet to find this tree on line.

I live in an apartment but they said if something needs to be fixed because of my fault I will be charged. There are paper towels stuck and I tried everything, plunger, draino, auger, but nothing is working so I think I'm going to have to get a plumber. If I live in a small town (not sure if that matters) how much can I expect to pay

Roaches love to sneak into and live in my clothing closet. I keep things as neat as possible & prefer not to use chemicals or to kill the roaches. Know of any natural fixes?

Presently I have a 8"X30' steel I-beam running across the length of house, it is being supported by two steel pillars. One is approx. 10' from my outside wall the second is 10' from the first. At the second pillar the 30' beam is intersected by a second 8"x 20' steel I-beam running at 90 degrees to the opposite wall. These beams are supporting the prefab floor joists or silent floor system and 2 storeys of my home. My question is can I remove the second pillar to gain some open space and move it back or just leave it out entirely? I am located in Ontario Canada.

It's the middle of winter, and for some reason I have a huge gnat problem. I've pretty much done all I know how to do to eliminate anything that could possibly be attracting them, including getting rid of all exposed food, I have the trash in an enclosed area, scrubbing the furniture and counters to get rid of coffee stains, etc. Is there anything else that I should be doing? And what is a good way to just get rid of them all? They are even in my family room where the computer is and I never leave food or anything in there. Thanks for any suggestions!

We are buying a house that was built in 1929 and recently discovered a room beneath the garage. The foundation appears to match the original foundation of the house. It's about 20'x20'x5.5'. The garage floor is wooden and a small section of the floor boards can be raised so one can use a ladder to climb down below. It has a dirt floor, and is empty. It's not possible to talk with the seller's and the inspector said he had never seen anything like it before. We're thinking that more recently someone may have climbed down there in order to work on a car from underneath, although the location where the floor boards open up don't lead us to believe that's the reason it was designed. We've tried to find some info online, with no luck. Has anyone ever seen or heard of such a thing that could shed some light on the original purpose of the room/space?

I decided that our bathroom is boring. I want to paint or stencil designs on the sink and on the toilet. I was wondering, what type of paint can I use, and what do I put over the top of it to seal it? is it even possible to do this to a toilet?

Also, if I mess up, Can I get the paint off and start over (before I seal it, obviously)

I've never really done anything like this before so any information would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

I'm thinking of hiring someone to put in a patio. What are the advantages and disadvantages of having a patio that is either a stamped concrete or a natural stone (maybe flagstone) set in concrete? Are some stones better than others? I live in a very hot climate if that makes any difference?

My home is 2 years old and I have never had this problem in my life until we built our home out in the country. I have always used, tide, downey and bounce but lately have tried a lot of other brands because I can't get my clothes to smell fresh like they should with those products, they don't smell bad but they just don't have that lovely scent of those products. What is the problem? Could it be the well water? We have a water softner so I don't know what the problem could be. Any ideas?
