I've heard of sites where you take pictures of your room and you can change the colors! Does anyone know the name of the site?

What type of air nailer is it that you see the carpenters always using on the DIY shows. I am in search of the kind to use for building things like small tables, shelves even a doghouse or two. I am not sure that they are framing nailers and I know they are not brad nailers what is the middle? Thank You

Unlike most people, I dispise hard wood floors. But me and my wife found a terrific apartment near good schools and a block from my work.

In the room that is to be my office, the wood flloor creaks and groans and announces itself with every goddamn step.

Is there a way to put down carpet without gluing it to the floor or having it bunch up in places and scoot around?

Please help me!!!

Has anyone ever heard of using bullnose ceramic tile as a baseboard? I'm trying to think of something that will look nice, but my rabbits won't be able to destroy. I would use something that looks like stone as a baseboard with my refinished hardwood floors. If I use bullnose pieces I'll have a nice finished edge on top and I'll just grout in between the tiles. What should I use between the tile and the floor?

I'm 4 months pregnant and need to have a third room and maybe another bathroom. We would really like to get into a new house but due to other financial issues we cannot afford it. We were thinking about building an addition that would include a bedroom, a small office, and a new bathroom but we're not sure if it would be a very good idea to do that. We currently have a 14X70 on a corner lot. Can some body please help me out and give me advise about the easiest way to do an addition to a mobile home and if you think it will pay off later. Thank you!!

How do I cover a ugly yellow colored tile in my shower? I am in an apartment so I cannot remove tile. I would prefer no to paint it because I may get charged at end of lease.
I used cabinet shelf paper to cover vanity. Should I do the same with shower? I am afraid it will peel. Are there any temporary tiles I can cover with?

I recently took down my perfectly working, yet dated ceiling fan to paint it. When I took it down, I noted which wires from the fixture were hooked to which wires in the junction box. After painting it, I decided to try and hook it up differently so that the fan could be on at all times, and the light would be controlled at the switch. In doing so, I hooked the fan to the always hot wire (red I'm thinking), and then the light fixture black to black on/off and whites to white. When I turned on the power at the breaker the fan started (good for me) with the switch off. When I turned on the light switch, I heard a pop, and had no light.

So I figured I would hook it up as it was originally installed before I took it down, and now the fan works off the light switch, but the lights still do not work. I've got the thing in pieces and don't see anything noticeably wrong ...

Any ideas? Are there little fuses inside the light fixture that somehow I fried?

The boiler is not boxed in and is a bit of an eyesaw, and is positioned in a very obvious place in the kitchen. From what I can tell in the manual it is OK to put a cupboard or such around it.
I would like to disguise it, a cheap solution prefered but also looking for some interesting solutions - if anyone out there has any ideas please help. I am completely ignorant and useless about all DIY things. THANKS
