I am selling my house and have a small bedroom, was looking for a few suggestions to make it look/feel bigger...

Always paint a small room in a very light colour (preferably white)
This may look a bit stark, but you can always add colour with brightly coloured cushions. Mirrors also give the impression that a room is bigger than it really is.

pull out all the clutter. Remove some of the furniture. Think hotel or B&B... make it homey but not too cluttered because more open space fools the eye into making it feel roomier than it is

put in 3/4 bed instead of double or try a unit with mirrored doors

Paint your room with one color but use a clearer one on two opposites walls and a darker on the two other one . This little contrast will change the vision of the lenght of your room.

Light colored paint helps make a room appear larger and brighter.
White curtains and light flooring too.
