The boiler is not boxed in and is a bit of an eyesaw, and is positioned in a very obvious place in the kitchen. From what I can tell in the manual it is OK to put a cupboard or such around it.
I would like to disguise it, a cheap solution prefered but also looking for some interesting solutions - if anyone out there has any ideas please help. I am completely ignorant and useless about all DIY things. THANKS

you can buy pre made boiler housing units, as they are vented from the outside there should be no need to vent them through the housing

Yes you can put a cupboard around it. Make sure you leave a gap between the boiler casing and the cupboard. The boiler should have balanced flue so doesn't need take air from the room. Main concern is that there should be room to access the boiler for service and repairs.

if its a self venting boiler it can be boxed with a normal cuboard leave a gap of at least 30mm all around it if not box it with cuboard but cut top and bottom out to allow ventilation either way don't forget that a service engineer will need access to certain areas of the boiler
