How do I cover a ugly yellow colored tile in my shower? I am in an apartment so I cannot remove tile. I would prefer no to paint it because I may get charged at end of lease.
I used cabinet shelf paper to cover vanity. Should I do the same with shower? I am afraid it will peel. Are there any temporary tiles I can cover with?

Purchase a shower curtain and rod for a freestanding claw foot bath tub. The rod can easily be attached to the wall and the shower curtain goes all the way around the inside of the tub and it would hide the existing tile. Good luck

Certainly PAINT will not adhere. Contact paper will be nearly as bad. Temp stick on tiles are "TACKY" (no pun intended) Think about what this is,,,a Shower. WET often, and "dampish" after WET, for awhile at least.

After installing thousands of sq. ft. of tile, applying thousands of gallons of paint, and remodeling more bathrooms than anything else I do have a suggestion or two.

FIRST, check your lease, and the limits for SELF improving. Then ask the landlord what might be acceptable.

I'm going to assume the tile doesn't go all the way to the ceiling in that area. Hopefully, if I'm correct, I offer this as an option.

Consider this. Define what COLOR you might prefer, and apply that preference to vinyl shower curtains, as a DRAPE effect on the 3 walls of the enclosure. The hardware and the actual "curtain" will be inexpensive, not intrusive in the extreme, regarding the install, can be patched after the fact with mud and paint, and allow that you need not LOOK at the tile you don't enjoy.

Certainly the issue is pretty inane, (no offense) as it isn't a place you spend a majority of time in.

Your other consideration, and a selfish one, might be to consider what you paid out as a security deposit, and would you mind losing it in the end?

NO their isn't much you can put over this. You can however add some attractive "wallies" to the tile. They will peel off when you are ready to move. They make some real nice ones these days. Look online or go to places like Bed Bath and Beyond and Linen and Things. I have actually seen some nice ones at Walmart. Just gotta look. Add these wallies,a matching shower curtain and rug and you will seem to have a new bathroom
