How do I loosen the tension or get my pinking shears to cut easier?

The pinking shears are Fiskars. I have a project I need to complete using the pinking shears, however the tension to open and close the scissors is so tight - it hurts my hands to have to keep cutting on my material.

I have tried WD-40, it didn't help. (The scissors are plenty sharp enough - it is just very hard and awkward to work with due to the tension)

Would I be futher ahead to go and purchase a different brand?

Thank you in advance for suggestions.

WD-40 is supposedly poisonous. My blender blades are stuck, and my blender won't rotate them to cut anything. I sprayed WD-40 all over the blades and now they spin fine, although I read on the WD-40 can that the chemical is actually quite dangerous. Could I perhaps wash the WD-40 off of the blades really well and continue using the blender blades? Or just get new blades? Anyone else done this?

tried everything and nothing works like MAAS CREAM, that stuff is great!!!! You can find it on ebay. It also works to check bakelite bangles, you can check all plastic for bakelite, put it on bangles with a white cloth and if cloth turns yellow, it is real bakelite.

My fiance and I rent a house. Hes lived here for 2 years in June & I moved in last March. Shortly after I moved in I noticed there was moisture in the windows and some mold looking stuff growing around the windows. I did the girly thing & cleaned it- using bleach! In October his parents were coming, I did the "clean the whole house again", & there was again. I told him he needed to call the landlords, & he did. They said they'd call him next week of when they could come by. He travels alot so he told them to call me & set up a time. They never called. He called back & they said they would just let themselves in & we said NO. By then it was just about Christmas time & we were going to Hawii for 2 & a half weeks. When we got back he was right back to traveling & called the landlord every time he was back home. Now here it is end of Feb & I wanted to clean the house again & I can't because they don't want the windows cleaned. And now I've found mold in the pantry and on the back door!

I am installing a new small chandelier into an old fixture. The chandelier has an spt wire--two wires coated with clear plastic that can be separated by cutting down the center. The wires look identical with the exception of the spt identification marked on one of the wires. A bare ground wire is also on the chandelier. The old wiring supply contains a black wire that was attached to a black wire on the old fixture and a red wire that was attached to the white wire on the old fixture. This is an Airway Collection 5 light chandelier--view at lampsplus.com. THANKS!!

I have a sky blue hoodie that had a 2 in. piece of BRIGHT yellow paper in the pocket. I forgot to take out the paper so when I put the hoodie in the wash, the yellow dye got onto the pocket and I then unknowingly set the stain by putting the hoodie in the dryer. I have washed the hoodie repeatedly, the stain still remains, and it is not lightening either. The stain is yellowish and very noticeable (to me at least). How can I remove this stain? Is it permanent?

I know gas is usually cheaper than electric (gas dryers vs. electric dryers, gas/oil heaters vs. electric heaters, etc.). But I live in a small studio apartment and it would be more convenient to use a George Foreman grill or electric stove. Is it cheaper too because the area used to heat is much smaller than when preheating and using a gas oven? Or when just using the gas stove top burners is that cheaper than the smaller electric ones?

The grocery stores in my area accept plastic shopping bags for recycling, and I am wondering if I can add other types of (clean!) thin plastic (such as Ziploc bags, sandwich baggies, shrink-wrap packaging, etc.) for recycling as well.

I recently had to replace my dryer vent from venting on the other side of the house because how difficult it was to clean/maintain. Plus it was dangerous because it vented into the floor of my garage and was carried along way from the dryer. Point being is that is was replaced with something safer that now vents into my front porch area. I am sure I don't have to explain what a pain that is. Now we have lint traveling all over and making a mess of the area. It comes out in a little patch of dirt which is broken up by the walkway and then another patch of dirt. The front porch is raised a couple inches from the ground. I was thinking of building some sort of planter from pavers so that the lint could just blow into it and I could put some plans on top but I don't know if that is my best option...anyone have any ideas?

I'm going to be redoing my room soon. I'm painting by walls white because my bedding and other things are very bright colors. However, I don't want my walls to be boring. I'm looking for sites/stores that have wall decals/stickups and other wall decorations for teens. Can you help me?
