Ye, WD-40 IS toxic if consumed! On the flip side of the coin, it can be very easily washed off of the blades using soap and hot water. Yes, you can continue to use the blades in the future. Depending on what the blade material is, you can use mineral(baby) oil or even olive oil on them to keep them from rusting any further and preventing problems in the future. I would highly recommend after each time you use the blender washing the blades in very hot soapy water, allow them to dry thoroughly and them coat with either oil before putting them away again. Just wipe the oil off before use with a paper towel and you'll be fine.

Well, it's the same as using any chemical on anything you eat with. First, use some kind of bleach or strong cleaner and scrub the blades using steel wool or something equally as rough. Then, after a thorough cleaning, go ahead and boil the blades. This sounds weird, but it makes sure that nothing is surviving on the blades that could kill you. After this extreme cleaning process, you should be able to use the blades again.

I've had the pleasure of talking to the Director of Engineering at WD-40, and they have an enormous list of applications for their product. However, I'm pretty sure that squirting it up your butt to alleviate possible constipation isn't one of them. Just some petroleum jelly on your finger inserted a short distance into your anus should be more than enough help.

Be Safe and get new blades, WD-40 is a great cleaner but you will have the problem again, and it isn't safe for consumption.

that sounds pretty gross. I'd say "no." Blenders are cheap...go buy a new one for $25 at Target or Walmart!

Use CLR with water and blend the hell out of it. It works. I have done it. Make sure you rinse it well after cleaning.
