Anything that contrasts with a particular color. Bright green is the negative of Purple. "Kermit the Frog" green.

If you mean what colors make purple stand out, it's going to be the complementary one--look at color wheel, and then look at the color opposite the one you're trying to make pop. For example, blue/orange, red/green, yellow/purple.

Of course, pink pops purple. Sage green, turquoise, beige, and white all go pretty cool with purple, too.

to harmonize with purple use grey, silver, lilac ,lavender,mauve,eggplant.
to contrast with it use hot pink, soft pink, yellow, coral, peach,salmon.
