energy = mass X specific heat capacity of water X temp rise

= 150 X 4200 X 45

= 28 350 000 joules

1 kWh = 3 600 000 joules

so .... energy needed = 28 350 000 / 3 600 000

= 7.9 kWh

Vol(l) x temp rise/Time (mins) x 14.3

150 x 45 / 60 x 14.3

6750 / 858 = 7.86 Kw/h

An 80,000 Btu boiler should take about 25-40 mins depending on losses.
