I'm interested to buy a humidifier called: Hunter Care-free warm mist humidifier. This specific product has been recalled due to potential fire hazard. There are 4 reports from consumers of minor property damage from water leaking to the electrical components causing fire. Accordingto the website below, the recall is for products sold at stores nationwide from September 2005 through February 2006.

http://www.lawcash.com/recalls/family-dollar-pay-civil-penalty-failure-report-hazardous-electric-blankets-recall/alert/6281.asp

it's 2007 now and I still see the product being sold at target.com, iallergy.com and several others. Does it mean that they have corrected the problem and is it safe to buy those products now? Or are these retailers trying to sell leftover products that still have the problem?

any input will be appreciated

How do I keep my new cherry wood dinner table and chairs looking new... I have put a very nice wax on it and it is very nice an shinny. I have grandchildren who love to sit at the table and do work. I don't want the table to get scraches on it or even stains on it.
I put a table cloth on it but then I don't get to see the beauty of the table. I want to put a clear plastic cover on it but was told that could cause damage to the table because it could sweat. Can someone tell me the best thing to do to keep my table and chairs beautiful forever.

You typical sofa has legs and is up in the air, the sofa I'm looking for is built to rest on the ground with less then a foot or so between the bottom of the couch and where the top cushion ends.

Is there a name for this type of sofa?

Hi, i just moved back inside from my garage and want to decorate my bedroom to suite me more.
Its biggish, like two rooms joined together, narrow and long. The carpet is a darkish green, the walls a dark salmon - pink and the roof white. Then one curtain is red and gold.

We rent so i can't change the wall colour, carpet or curtain. We can't use anything but blu-tack on the walls.
I have a queensize bed, tv, warchobe, coffee table, trunk, all wood - pine coloured. I need some ideas on how to decorate my room to look good and be more nice and teenagey.
Cheaply.
I'm almost 17, and do not want a shabby room, but kind of cool.
Any advice would be great.
Thanks

I just tiled my entire bathroom with porcelain tile. Looks great, now I'm ready to grout. The last 1/3 of the bathroom was just set in the mortar. Do I need to wait before aplying grout to this area, or can I just go for it before the mortar is completely set?

Also, I have sinced learned that placing the backerboard and tile over the flange on the top of the tub is wrong. It was only supposed to rest on the top, it's already done this way. to me it looks fine, but will this cause some sort of unforseen problem?

Thanks!

I have framed in two walls into the corner of a brick building. The wiring is finished. Do I sheet-rock the ceiling or walls first? Or does it matter? Any other tips are most appreciated.

I read this information for flushing my water heater http://www.cbnbh2o.com/tips/heater.html
it did not outline that the heater should be put into pilot light mode

i flushed the water heater and then it ran for an hour heating before i turned the temp down to manually shut it off..

i became concerned that something might be wrong when it didn't shut off after an hour....thats why i manually turned the temp down on it to shut it off...
We have the temp set all the way up to the highest setting

I do get hot water out of the tap.

I did some quick research and like every site besides the one i read said to put the water heater in pliot light mode...
Did I ***K up the heating elements?

Please help
very worried

We bought a new chest of drawers. Before we start putting clothes in it, we want to put in shelf paper. My wife says there is a kind of shelf paper that is insect resistant or repellant. W e plan to put wool sweaters in there, and we are trying to avoid putting a small mothball in each drawer.

I have brown and beige furniture and have chosen a pale green paint for the walls in my living room. The green is called Acanthus from Sherwin-Williams, if that helps. It's a very soft color that looks at home next to both cool and warm colors. The woodwork will be white.
