My husband is like a little kid sometimes - he put campaign stickers all over his Nalgene water bottle. Tried to remove them by running through the dishwasher over and over and now the whole thing is just sticky. How can we get off the sticky stuff?

It is unseasonably warm in North Georgia and I don't want to hurt or stunt the trees. They have buds on them.

I am moving into a house with an unfinished basement, and I am looking to create a room down there big enough to have band practice in, that I can deaden the sound enough to not disturb roomates/neighbors. I have done some reasearch, but most of the suppliers aren;t really specific on what the cheapest most economically sound way of doing it is.

I don't have a dishwasher (and probably won't get one) so what would save me money- using paper plates or washing dishes?
Keep in mind that there are 5 of us in the household- two adults and three children, ages 7 and under.

I just moved into my home in florida and the grass is in pretty good shape but there are other people in my neighborhood whose grass is unbealiably bright green and thick looking. I have begun my sprinkler system on a 3 day basis but i was wondering if there is some special seeds and fertlizers to make it look like that. Thanks in advance for all your help

We have a grapefruit tree that produces every year and we have no use for the fruit. We would like to keep there tree as it is very beautiful in our yard. Any idea on how we could sterilize it to stop producing fruit, other than manually removing the buds before they are pollenated?

We got a very nice solid wood desk from someone who smokes. We kept in on the enclosed porch for about a week to air out, cleaned it up, and brought it in. I think it smells like stale cigarettes still. It's gross, but I don't want to get rid of the desk. I'm hoping someone knows of a cool product or home remedy type thing to maybe get rid or mask the smell forever! HELP!

I just bought a house with a fireplace. I heard that you can buy special logs to burn that will clean your chimney out. Anyone ever try them? Or is it just better to have someone come clean it for you? Or is it something you can DIY? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanx in advance.

The seeds germinate, sprouting to 4/5inches and all of them suffer leaf dieback which spreads back eventually to the root. I do not overwater and heat is plentiful in the glasshouse. Should the alkalinity or acidity of the compost make a difference.

The floor is on a raised foundation and we were told that there are 2 options: float it on thin set or use a concrete back board. Is there any perference to one over the other? I don't want the tile to crack.

Hi I am a renter and in my apt the sink has no basin or cabinet I guess its called so the pipes are exposed. I have looked for something cheap that has a cutout for the pipes but I cannot find anything. Does anyone have any ideas ? Looking to spend no more that 70 dollars or so. I would also like to be able to store some things there so it has to be functional but I would prefer if it was not in the open.
