i have found the best cleaner is a product by the ZEP manufacturer. it is ZEP 40 cold weather formula # is 1-877-428-9937 and use scott paper towels. the only windex i recomend is (if they still make it) is powerdize. But overall zep is best.

if you are doing it for car windows do not get anything with ammonia d if you have tinted windows

I mix my own....2 parts water, 1 part each vinegar and rubbing alcohol in a spray bottle. I agree, if you want to buy some, that ZEP window cleaner is really good.

i use Sprayway Glass Cleaner, and it doesn't contain ammonia. Sprayway Inc. is out of Addison, IL 60101, sorry that's all i have for you. it's great on car windows since it's ammonia free and leaves no film. look for it and buy it, you'll love it, too! good luck.

I used to live next to Amish, and they keep their windows SHINEY! All they use is a vinigar and water mix. I ran out of windex one day and decided to try it. It works great but the smell is not so nice.

They all have ammonia in them and the best you can do is take some water and add a little ammonia and use newspaper to clean. It does as good a job as anything.
