Hi I am a renter and in my apt the sink has no basin or cabinet I guess its called so the pipes are exposed. I have looked for something cheap that has a cutout for the pipes but I cannot find anything. Does anyone have any ideas ? Looking to spend no more that 70 dollars or so. I would also like to be able to store some things there so it has to be functional but I would prefer if it was not in the open.

There are the sink "skirts" you can make. Measure 1 1/2 times the width around the sink. Buy material that you like.....and velcro strips. Attach one side of the velcro strip around the bottom of the sink, and the other--sew to the material, gathering to fit (you can do this by hand), and then attach to the velcro on the sink. You can hide things underneath the fabric skirt.

Better directions on the website I have listed below.

it's called a "Sink Front" and it can be purchased at your local cabinet store, like Home Depot, or another cabinet company. A local store will charge you less for it than A big box store that will have to special order it. It has a face frame and doors, just like a cabinet and will conceal your sink, but there is no box to cut out, so it is easy to install.

Why not go to a thrift store or similar and you should be able to find a cheap cabinet that you could afford to leave behind when you move out. Even if you have to repaint, it will be way cheaper than buying new. Just a thought.

wellll...
you can go to a salvage yard and buy some really nice cabinets and basins, brand new, and dirt cheap. you'll probably have to stain and install everything yourself , but that's pretty easy.if they come with doors, mirror, etc. so much the better. i've seen some folks use a little curtain, just to hide the shelves , mind you. if you diy shouldn't run over your budget.

Purchase a tension rod to fit the opening, either make a curtain or purchase one, and hang under the sink!

I bought a white plastic arrangement at Lowe's very inexpensively that can be arranged around your pipes to make shelves.
