My lawn in Northern california is a mixed type of grass. It has perrenial rye, bluegrass, creeping red fescue, and bermuda grass. The bermuda browns out during the winter and I would like to get rid of it. The rye does well both summer and winter and I'de like this to take over. Is there a herbacide or other method I can use that will eliminate the bermuda grass and not harm the rest? Thanks in advance.

I am having security lights- with a motion detector that trips the light for 20 seconds- installed on the outside of my home. Should I get the electrician to install them on a switch that I can turn on and off? Is there any reason I wouldn't put them on a switch, (it does cost more to wire that way). I just don't want to have to get it done later if it is best for them to be on a switch.

This may seem basic, but I was just wondering some basics for washing and drying clothes. I know how to, but it seems my clothes shrink and fade really quickly and everyone seems to have their own technique...like when do you use cold as opposed to hot water? Is it really important to wash colors together and whites together? Best ways to get stains out? Stuff like that

the basket is 10" tall and 12" x 10" around the basket part, on the side where the handle meets the basket it has the intials "DB". I purchased it about 5 years ago at a estate sale. It is a deep red color glass and has a weave and circle patern around the basket. no other markings, in great shape. I would like to know how much it is worth or someone I could take it to to get it apprased. Thank you

Or, suggest a web site to explain it with features, etc.
We are speaking of Spanish Contemporary upgrading to a hacienda style 100 unit complex. I don't think anyone really understand what Spanish Contemporary is by style and definition. Thanks

You can buy the ladders, and even have them custom made, but they cost close to 1,000.
I know how to build an angled ladder.
But I am building a loft bed (6 feet high), and I want to have an angled ladder that travels back and forth.
I want it to be safe, and similar in design to the ones at the library, barnes & noble etc.
What hardware would I need, and can I get it at Home depot or Loewes? I am open to interesting ideas.
