Well if you just wanted to work, get the contractor.
If you want it to look good get the interior designer.

why don't you sketch it out yourself? all the big home center stores have kitchen designers in house and they don't cost anything. take the measurements pick out the cabinets and appliances you want and bring them in to lowes-home depot-menards or a merrilat cabinet dealer and they will put it in the computer.you have to pick how you want it arranged but they'll help you with what things can go where. if you're looking to rearrange things that are electrical or gas , then you'll need to hire someone to do that also. we saved thousands by making our own sketch and going from there. good luck.
