Bleach & water will not effectively KILL the mold. You will need to spray mist with a detergent and water mix, HEPA vacuum the water, rinse with clean water and dispose. Make certain you have adequate ventilation as the problem will continue. Incidentially, an ionizer will not work effectively either.
The EPA recommends that any infestation over 10 sq. ft. that you have a professional remedy. Email me with any other questions you may have, I'll be glad to help you.

For a small area, Lysol will also kill mold. If your getting mold in your attic you will want to check the ventilation. Your attic floor should be insulated, and the attic should typically be vented with 1 square foot of vent for every 150 square feet of attic area. This ratio can be reduced if both high and low vents are provided. The local building department can adopt codes specific to your climate, so also check with them.

First, if the job is really big and you don't want to have sinus and lung problems, hire a professional to go up there and do the dirty work.
After that, get an ionizer. The static from the ionizer will control the fungus.

Bleach and water scrub. It will prevent regrowth. Also, get a dehumidifier to prevent extra moisture which cause molds to grow.
