So far, I have found vinegar to work pretty well with a plunger, but it keeps re-clogging. Are there any plumbers out there with a little mercy?

We are having a room repainted. The painter is telling us we need to sand the walls, prior to putting on the new paint. Is this correct? Or is this simply an extreme, best practice?

I am having problems with a circuit breaker switch that gets tripped when I have a Vornado Heater and microwave going at the same time. The house was built back in the 1960's and i am sure the breaker is old.But if this is only a 15amp breaker can it get replaced to a 20 amp to handle the 2500 watts that is getting pushed at it when both the microwave and heater are running at the same time? Is this something that can be replaced by the average joe .I have 4 yrs of electronics back in high school,so i am not afraid to fix it myself if it can be done by myself.Any input would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

I have a six years old Yucca plant , that was growing very good, until recently when its leaves at the bottom started to become yellow and dry at the end. What makes me worry is that this process is very fast- for a week few dried.

What might be wrong with the plant and what can I do about it? I worry if it keeps drying it might die at the end .

Thank you!

Could anyone give me a ballpark figure of how much a decorator might take to remove tiles and retile a wall that is about 8 metres squared. How easy are tiles removed. Would it be awfully hard work for me to do myself.

I will be painting my 2 year old son's room. I am going for a modern look. He has white furniture. I am stuck because of the tile color... My brother was living here with his wife and daughter and they chose this tile, I would hate to get rid of it as it was put in only a few months ago..

here is a photo of the tile so you can get some idea...

Alright, let me try to make this question as simple as possible. I live in the home that I grew up in as a child, and, there were tennants living here for a few years before I moved in. My parents were generous in allowing them to renovate as they liked, but now that I'm here I want to pull my hair out. lol. The kitchen had brick paneling on the lower half, which they painted white, and in turn I have painted back to brick. The dining room however, had wooden panels on the lower half of the wall, including baseboards installed by my great grandfather, and chair rails. The previous tennants painted over the wood panels and chair rails (and, to boot, put the ugliest tackiest wallpaper I have ever seen on the upper half.) I don't have a ton of money to restore this room, but I would like to put it back as close as possible to the way it was. What would be the cheapest, yet still attractive way to fix the wooden panels? Is wainscoting expensive?

We`ve just found a sick house fly with no wings, we tried to fashion some imprompu prosthetic wings from two ironing boards, but on attaching these to the fly his condition has deteriorated. What should me do to save this brave little soldier?
