I have a six years old Yucca plant , that was growing very good, until recently when its leaves at the bottom started to become yellow and dry at the end. What makes me worry is that this process is very fast- for a week few dried.

What might be wrong with the plant and what can I do about it? I worry if it keeps drying it might die at the end .

Thank you!

Yucca are desert plants and do not ever need water after they are planted outdoors. They store water in their leafs. I noticed you said the leafs are yellow. That's often an indication of lack of iron in the soil. My local nurseries will give me free advice on plant issues and also know what the soil in your area lacks. Take a picture to the nursery or--if you have one--your county extension agent.

The atmosphre might be too dry. Try misting it each day and see if it improves.

im pretty sure you need to divide it up, its getting crowded down where the roots are, and you can divide it up, give some away or plant more elsewhere.
